Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin declared on Sunday night that he tried positive for COVID-19 prior in the day.
Austin, who said he is encountering gentle symptoms, will isolate at home for five days.
The defense secretary will “hold all specialists” during the confinement time frame – and plans to go to key meetings practically, he said in an assertion.
Personnel who came into contact with Austin over the previous week will be contacted and tested.
Austin was momentarily at the Pentagon last Thursday with a little gathering of staff members and his last gathering with President Biden was Dec. 21 – more than seven days before his symptoms started, as per the assertion.
“As my doctor clarified to me, my completely vaccinated status — and the supporter I got toward the beginning of October — have delivered the contamination considerably more gentle than it would some way or another have been,” Austin said.
