For a situation that shines a different light on the expression “dangling from the rafters,” a man was captured after he was discovered living over a supermarket when his foot experienced the roof.
Matthew Hammar, 35, was captured and accused of robbery and deterring a cop after representatives working the night move at Raley’s in Fernley, Nevada, saw his foot hanging as they arranged to open at around 5 a.m. on Sept. 30 and called specialists.
“He made an awful stride and one of his feet experienced the roof, presenting his foot to where individuals could see it, and that is the thing that alarmed the workers,” Lyon County Sheriff’s Office watch chief Johnny Smith told the Reno Gazette Journal.
This drove specialists to find he’d been ascending an outside stepping stool to the rooftop, at that point down into the store’s rafters, where he had cut out a bit of living space, taking arrangements from the shop.
In the wake of falling through the roof tile and being spotted, Hammar crushed back up into the crawlspace he’d been living in, Sgt. Dan Lynch told .
They sent a police canine up there, yet it fell into a pole and stalled out, police told the Journal. At that point both he and Hammar must be brought.
