Turns out not building a wall is nearly pretty much as expensive as building one.
President Joe Biden is spending essentially $3 million every day on contractors “to watch steel rust in the desert,” Senate Republicans have found — as he attempts to end previous President Trump’s arranged wall along the US-Mexico border, in spite of the continuous emergency there.
“President Biden is paying proficient development contractors to keep an eye on as much as $2 billion and then some, while simultaneously we’ve seen a 20-year high number of transients crossing our open border,” said Sen. James Lankford (R., Okla.)
A report gave for the current week by GOP individuals from the Senate’s Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management found that something like 20% of the $10 billion got by the Pentagon for border wall development has rather been spent on guarding development sides and ending dynamic agreements.
With the end cycle set to require as long as year and a half to finish, the report discovered, the costs will keep adding up.
“This misuse of citizen assets compromises military preparation and national security,” the report finished up.
