The infectious new COVID-19 mutation from the UK has authoritatively made it to the United States, Colorado health authorities said Tuesday.
The COVID-19 variation that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has cautioned could be 70% more contagious was recognized in an Elbert County man in his 20s, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said in an assertion.
“There is a great deal we don’t think about this new COVID-19 variation, yet researchers in the United Kingdom are cautioning the world that it is fundamentally more infectious,” Polis said in an assertion posted on Twitter.
The news comes the day after White House testing despot Brett Giroir said the mutation was “likely” effectively in the nation.
