Portions of the World Trade Center site were evacuated after a bomb scare

Portions of the World Trade Center site were emptied Saturday night after a bomb scare about “multiple packages” with potential explosives — with a suspect busted while running away from the area, sources told the media.

The suspect was purportedly seen “live-dropping” the dubious packages close to the Oculus at the Lower Manhattan site and was seized by Port Authority cops after a pursuit, the sources said.

As per sources, the man may have been a genuinely upset individual, and the packages may incorporate boxes of attire — in spite of the fact that police have not affirmed that.

Bomb crew individuals merged close to Liberty and Church streets, with the space emptied around 7:30 p.m., as per the sources.

Cops got a few calls in regards to the dubious packages, with police setting up an arranging region and evacuating the Westfield shops and the Oculus, the sources said.

The suspect has not been distinguished, and police have not affirmed the explosives.
