Some consumer accounts may be targeted by hackers, Robinhood

Fintech startup Robinhood said Friday a few clients may have become an objective of programmers in light of their own email accounts being undermined outside of its foundation.

The issue didn’t happen from a penetrate in the company’s frameworks, a representative for the organization said in an announcement.

“We’re effectively working with those affected to make sure about their records,” Robinhood included.

Robinhood, which is credited with advocating exchanging among twenty to thirty year olds, has seen different blackouts since March because of higher-than-common traffic to its application from an ongoing upsurge in day exchange by retail financial specialists.

A month ago, Reuters detailed that the firm had expanded its most recent financing round from speculators to $660 million, giving it a valuation of $11.7 billion.
